{Reverend} Sirs,

I preceive that the {Reverend } and {Honorable}
Corporation, unless I am Misinformed, have now
in their hands a Considerable Sum of {Doctor} Williams's
Donation. And by the Kindness of ye Corporation
last year in giving in giving me part of it, I am
encouraged again to intreat ye same Favour or a grea-
ter proportion of it, as they in their Wisdom
Shall think proper - My long Confinement
by Sickness, my additional Expenses thereby, & ne-
cessary Neglect of my Business, under my Circum-
stances peculiarly difficult & necessitate my earnest
desire of Favour in what I have proposed. Your
wonted Goodness to me Sir animates me to beg of
you to propose & Sollicit the Affair in my behalf.

I remain in a very low State, & beg an Interest in
your prayers for me. ~

With hearty regards to you & your Lady

Oliver Peabody (May 7, 1698-February 2, 1752) was the son of William Peabody and Hannah Hale of Boxford, Massachusetts. After his graduation from Harvard College in 1721, the Board of Commissioners for the Propagating the Gospel among the Indians of America appointed Peabody as a missionary to the Natick Indians. He was reappointed in 1729 and became parish minister in 1750 and served in that position until his death in 1752. Peabody served the Natick for thirty-one years, except for one season around 1750 when he was a missionary to the Mohegan in Connecticut. It is recorded that during his tenure he baptized 191 Indians and admitted one hundred of them to the church. Peabody was succeeded by Rev. Stephen Badger.(https://nativenortheastportal.com/bio/bibliography/peabody-oliver-1698-1752)
