Status: Needs Review

We well know the great number of students render it imprac
ticable. Yet we do expect sweet provisions and de-
cent cookery. The wisest regulations are useless if they
be not honestly observed. This is never the case unless
those, to whome they are committed feel a spirit & in-
terest in the execution. That those, who have the care
of the kitchen have such dispositions we deny. On
the contrary we assert, that with them the com-
fort, & health, & lives of the students are of seconda
ry importance. As highly as we value education
we are unwilling to purchase it at the expense
of these blessings. We respectfully submit these
things to your serious consideration; & hope you
will not delay to remove the causes of our
present complaint.

Signed in behalf of all the mem-
bers of the four classes, residing in College.
