Summary

Contains manuscript copies of correspondence and documents relating to the settlement of American loyalists in Digby, Nova Scotia. Includes maps of distribution of land, copies of grants, street and other property lists. End of volume 1 includes a manuscript list of the contents of both volumes.

Square marked F contains 32 lots Each 65 links in width or 42 feet nearly 11/12 of a foot. G 30 lots; each in width 68 links and An half or 45 feet and 2/12 nearly nearly H is Divided into 30 lots each lot is in width 69 links except 15 & 16 which are 68 links wide only the reason of their being some diff.e respecting widths is that I endeavoured to keep the Squares in the same Dimentions as Morrison had laid them out in doing of this and endeavouring to preserve one Quarter of an acre in Each lot occasioned the widths to vary a little all the Lots in the Squares to the East of the above Squares are Intended to be of the Same widths as above and Except those lots adjoyning water Street.
