Blown up in hell, & endless as the days,
That long eternity shall ever know,
To flash with horror, pain & burning woe
And seal the drunkards joy with the impress
Of hell while here, & in the sparkling glass
Thintoxicating picture lively draw,
Resembling devils drunk with flames below ~
Thus may the merry herd expecting wait,
The consummation of their distant fate,
Who now can wanton, revel & disguise,
And all the rational of man despise,
Prefering sence & appetite, that pleads,
Insatiable for more than nature needs;
To gratify the taste, then languish down,
And in their vomit wallow on the ground
Polluted with the ominous debauch,
And startling at the nearest friends approach
Till death shall tumble them to instant hell,
*Drunk with the wine of dread astonishment,
Their pleasure once, but now their punishment.
~~~~~~
* Where devils fettrd to damnation dwell
