With souls of trifling & shortest date
For breaths, that will not let him cease take
Aspatius still has worth, that shines within,
And which the modest blush when wandring o'er
The lip, betrays inherent excellence,
Suspicious where his rational will land
Tho now he labours hard to stifle truths,
Of an eternal birth, & bind him fast
To life, that now begins its infant breath,
That God will never give a prey to death ~
Aspatius, quit those midnight revellings
Where fulsome nonsense dances at the sound
Of torturd life, puffd out, in merry jests,
Politely tost from lip prophanely black
That scarce can blunder out one civil truth ~
The soft address, that flows from youth like thine
Will never let Aspatius dwindle down
With all those youthful charms that speak thy worth
