And strive to make Aspatius know himself ~

Aspatius whispers to himself at length

If an immortal life is surely mine,

Then, how refind the soul I wish should die,

And in eternal silence sleep itself to death?

O! let Aspatius live immortal all,

And hail the end of an eternal life ~

Letters from the dead to the living
and from the living to the dead

From worlds unknown, eternity begun;

Time at an end, where solemn fate has shone

On me a messenger to time again,

A season fraught with crimson crimes & sin ~

Horatio, will you hear of truths unsung,

That drop from an immortal spirits tongue,

Than death more solemn & eternal all
