Bethlehem April 29 1792

Dear Aunt!

Be assured you have my thanks for the letters you favour me
with, for the last particular by the last [sic] as I have thank'd you for
the others before. I am glad to find that your opinion of my improvement
in writing is good, I expect in your next an observation of my hurry in
this, as time will not permit me to write well, the examination is at last
come, which makes us exert every talent we possess in study, and tho it
does not take the whole of our time, I cannot compose my mind enough to
write letters after it.

I expect to be called soon to the examination of Music all our
other branches of education have been examin'd already.

May 7th I have recieved [sic] your letter by Uncle E- Bowen &
thought I should leave time to write you a long letter but Uncle E. goes
sooner than I expected which obliges me to be lacconic. Apologise for
me to my dear Miss Richmond tell her it is out of my power to write now.
I must bid you adieu & prepare for school. yours sincerly
