Rice Cake -
1. pint of boiled Rice - 3. Tablespoonsfull of flour
2. ditto of milk - 2 Eggs - bake them on a griddle
or in a soft waffle-iron - butter them - and sift
Cinnamon & sugar, or grated Nutmeg over them -

Pickled Onions - put your small white onions
in salt - and water three days - change the pickle
and let them stand three days longer - drain
them in a Cullender - then Boil them in milk
and water with a little Mace, and some whole
pepper - drain them again, and then boil
vinegar - and pour over them - put a little
Bag of spice in each pot, on the Top of the
Onions. - Another Receipt for Oisters -
Put the Oisters, with the Liquor into a
Stew-pan - cover them with water - let them
boil until the bladder between the heart
and the oister bursts - then take them out
take an equal Quantity of Liquor and vinegar
boil it with mace - cloves and allspice -
and some whole pepper - when cold - pour it
upon the oisters - very good for present
use -
