physically, an athelete perhaps. I played chess with Richard
and walked by Lake Erie with Jack. I had breakfast in
Cleveland and was back in my institution for luncheon. I was
pretty tired, but everything had gone so well and I was so
happy I soon got rested. Mother had put daffodils in my
room. Next time I shall see your flowers, if they will
let me.

That night the girls put on an
entertainment to raise money for a chapel I am thinking of
building. The little show went well.

Emperor Jones is healthy, only some cat bit
his ear. Usually he doesn't let any stray cats on the place.
It must have been one of his big sons, got out of hand.

My daughter writes it is cold in her school
in Vermont. They have lots of sledding and skiing.

Now I have to get ready for the Parole Board
which meets Tuesday.

I have lots of ideas now about plans to
present your case to your Parole Board. But when you say the wise
thing is to live one day at a time, and to keep strong and fit
and contented, I agree with you. You will know how to use your
freedom when you get it. Everyone will know you are trustworthy.

There are many questions I forgot to ask you,
but I think we filled up the time in the best possible way.
I never had a nicer visit.
