Dear Miss McNally:

I am sending you many thanks in behalf of the Senior Club for your very thoughtful invitation to your play. It was done in a marvelous manner. They could not be better if they were all professionals and you made a perfect man as well as producer.

Respectfully,

Stella Leach Rep. of Senior Club Sept. 3rd 1941

Tewksbury State Hospital Tewksbury Mass May 13th 1953

Dear Dr. Van Waters,

I guess you think funny that I did not answer your letter that I got right after my birthday, but I did not write the following Sunday and gave it to a nurse to mil and she forgot to put it in the mail box and I never knew anything about it until yesterday, she took it home and forgot all about it. I wondered why you did not answer.

Is Mrs Spence working there [now?], if so please remember me to her. I suppose Miss OKeefe and Miss [Jhonson?] is still with you, give them my love. I must tell you a little about this place. I can't say a whole lot of good about it, but I suppose it could be worse. The real bad part

is the unsanitary condition of the whole place, and the poor food, it don't begin to be half as good as Framingham food. they dont have half enough help either. There is a little store here that we can buy things to eat if you have the money. I must than you for the dollar you sent me believe me I had one good meal and a pack of cigaretts.

My legs have been very bad for nearly two years but thank the Lord they are better now, but they are not all well yet. I want to get a couple pair of white cotton stockings that is all the kind I can wear they have them here in the store but they are 79c a pair. Most every one here buy there stockings there, even the nurses only theiers is Nylon's.

Please remember me to every one there that I know.

Love from Stella

Write soon Dr as it is lonesome when you are all alone.

Mrs. Stella Leach Tewksbury State Hospital Tewksbury, Massachusetts

Dear Stella:

I am sorry that your letter was delayed, but am glad to hear from you again. I hope your health is improving.

Mrs. Spence is no longer with us, but has returned to Worcester, where I understand she has a very interesting job in the nursery school. Miss O'Keefe and Miss Johnson remain with us.

I enclose $1.00 and hope you get the white stockings you need.

Sincerely yours,

Miriam Van Waters, Superintendent
