Panenstadt) Neustadt and he was
more than pleased at my progress.
As he said which applies to all
of you who have helped me toward
recovery, "We can only do 5% of the
work - the other 95% is up to you.
Of course, I've known that for a long
long time - so with the little financial
help I am getting now - the fact that
Mr. Genereau of Veteran's Service - the
Be [Quinn's?] at 17 Court St. and you
people my goods friends in Fram. oh!
so many others - how can I fail.

I will give Miss Cav - every credit
that is due her. ie After I returned
from the State House - a while back -
and found out that Mr. Genereau
would fight any appeal, that I would
make to the State Veteran's Service
Commission - Miss C. in talking it
over with me said "Lets fight it and
oh! how I wanted to but fear again
as I knew it would be a test case
and knowing the time an appeal takes
and through Washington etc. I couldn't
afford to risk Mr. Genereau's wrath
and be cut off entirely by him.

I have found out since then -
the morning of my eviction from the
Hotel Essex when I had to walk
