STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA - [blank] County. I [blank], Clerk of the [blank] Court, hereby certify that [blank] and [blank] his wife, appeared before me this day and acknowledged the due execution of the annexed deed of conveyance; and the said [blank] being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband, or any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. Let the same, with this certificate, be registered. Witness my hand and official seal, this [blank] day of [blank], A. D. 189[blank] [blank] Clerk [blank] Court.

STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA - Guilford County. I, W. H. Ragan N. P., do hereby certify that Allison Gray and Elisabeth Gray his wife, personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the due execution of the annexed deed of conveyance; and the said Elisabeth Gray being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband, or any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. State of North Carolina, Guilford County. THIS DEED, Made this the 10th day of August 1893, by Allison Gray & wife Elisebeth Gray of Guilford County and state of North Carolina of the first part, to J. W. Harris of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, of the second part, Witnesseth: That said Allison Gray & wife Elisebeth Gray in consideration of Twenty -- $20.00 Dollars, to them paid by J. W. Harris the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey to said J. W. Harris, his heirs, a certain tract or parcel of land in Guilford County, State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of Danl Finch, H. R. Walden, and others, bounded as follows, viz.: Beginning at Alley runing East Fifty feet to Walden Corner. Thence South, Seventy Six feet J. W. Harris. Thence West Fifty feet to the alley, Thence North Seventy Six feet to the Beginning Containing One Fourth of an acre more or less.

To have and to Hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land, and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging, to the said J. W. Harris his heirs and assigns, to them only use and behoof forever. And the said Allison Gray & Wife Elisebeth Gray covenants with said J. W. Harris his heirs and assigns, that they seized of said premises in fee, and hath right to convey the same in fee-simple; that the same are free and clear from all incumbrances, and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whomsoever.
