The High Point Garden Club met with Mrs. F.N. Tate on March 20th.

The Roll-call showed 17 members present who told in response to
their names some interesting thing they were intended to do in
their gardens this season.

Mrs. S.C. Clark reported that entries in The City Beautiful con-
test were coming in well, nearly 500 to date. The Chairman, Mr. T.A.
Sykes expects a thousand. Help was asked from the members in se-
curing entries and accordingly many took more blan ks for this pur-
pose. A slogan contest for the campaign is now on with a $25 prize for the best one.

The Treasurer reported $76.46 now in hand.

Mrs. J.E. Cox told the Club that she has 47 fascinating
books on gardening and flowers which she offers to lend club mem-
bers. Some of the titles were read and members expressed great ap-
preciation of this kind offer.
