Know all men by these presents that I Edward L. A. Siceloff of Davidson County, North Carolina am held and firmly bound unto Alexander Siceloff in the sum of Eight hundred dollars for the true and faithful payment of which I hereby bind myself, heirs, Executors, and Administrators firmly by these presents, signed and sealed the 22nd day of May, A.D. 1889

The conditions of the above obligation is such that whereas the above mentioned Alexander Siceloff has sold to the said Edward Siceloff certain land at a reduced rate on condition he comply with the following conditions viz - That whereas the said Alix Siceloff is becoming old and unable to to labor for a support, Now therefore if the said Edward Siceloff shall provide for said Alex Siceloff food, & clothing, Nurse him in sickness, employing medical aid for him, when necessary, and provide him everything necessary to insure him a life of comfort in his declining years; pay all his legal debts, doctor bills, burying expences, providing for him a decent burial suitable to the wishes of his family and friends but not to be bound to go into extravagance only keeping in the bounds of decency and secure a tombstone to mark his grave, then this obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in

full force and effect, and in case of failure to comply with the above stipulations the said Edward L. A. Siceloff hereby gives a lien on his land to amount to make up the deficiency of such failure, in the collectable amount of the above bond.
