5-20 - Left soon after 7, stopping by to get the lobsters Starr had asked for. Nonie was ready and we took off reaching Norfolk by back roads about 2 (one S.T.) Dinner at 2:30 ST & left at 3:30. Got to Nags Head 5:30; found a nice cottage with kitchen near Manteo turn off. Grocery near by.

Sat.
5/21 - Took ferry down to Hatteras with many stops - no shells worth stopping for but fine beaches. To Cape H where there were crowds, so we picked a good spot and ate lunch on beach. Drove around H. several times and on up for 4 o'clock ferry. Steak dinner at home. Very tired as I had slept porely.

5/22 - Took me a long time to get to sleep tho I took a pheno barb. Woke at 5:45. Prue on beach. Came in with 3
