make a gorgeous show. Was
quite surprised to see a number
of humming birds flashing their
gems among them. The residences
on the Boulevard are magnificent,
land there is worth $500 a front
foot, but I paid them little atten
tion this morn. Suppose we walked
about a mile and a half, I
tell you I was ready for break-
fast at the boarding house.
Went in to G's a few minutes
to see if Lily's trunk was ready
for shipment. It took me far
away to see Grandfather's and
Grandmother's portraits and the
old clock once more. Didn't go
up stairs but sat a few min-
utes in Sister's chair in the bay
window, it seemed to have a
magical power to rest.
