My Dear Daughter
Your last very ple
-sant letter came to hand last Sun
-day soon after I came from church
as usual I enjoyed it very much
and feel that the time of your return
is drawing near I suppose you will
want to be with Mary all that cir
cumstances will admit.

First I will speak of your flowers
the balsan has shed its last bloom
the asters are looking very pretty
or would if they had different sur
-roundings, many of them are white
several blooms so near the top
they look like one large one, no
doubt they would have done better
if you had been here to attend to them
