THIS DEED, made this the 17th day of April, 1944, by the City of
High Point, a municipal corporation, created, organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of North Carolina,
party of the first part to Flossie L. Reid,
party of the second part,
of said County and State.

WITNESSETH:

That Whereas, the party of the first part advertised the property hereinafter described for sale at public auction to the last and
highest bidder for cash as provided by law; and,

Whereas, at eleven o'clock A. M., on the 3rd day of April, 1944, the hour ap-
pointed for said sale the party of the second part became the last and highest bidder for the land hereinafter described for the sum of
One Thousand Seven Hundred and no/100 DOLLARS ($1700.00); and,

WHEREAS, on the 13th day of April, 1944, the City Council of the City of
High Point in meeting duly assembled authorized the Mayor and City Clerk to execute and deliver to the party of the second part
a good and sufficient deed to the property hereinafter described upon payment to the said city of said bid.

WHEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and the sum of One Thousand Seven Hundred and no/100
($1700.00) DOLLARS ($170.00 in cash, and $1530.00 by promissory note secured by deed of
trust) to the City of High Point, paid by the party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the party of
the first part has bargained and sold, and by these presents does bargain, sell and convey unto the party of the second part and
her heirs and assigns, a tract of land in the City of High Point, County of Guilford, and State of North Carolina, in High Point
Township, and more particularly bounded and described as follows:

Being lot No. 9, block 14, of the High Point
Development Company Subdivision as duly re-
corded in Office of Register of Deeds of
Guilford County, N.C., book 53, page 561.

The above described property is being conveyed
free and clear of all street assessment and all
City and County taxes through the year 1944.
