DEED FROM E. Z. Hester TO E. A. Bencini

Consideration, $85 Date March 22 1902

Filed for registration on the 9 day of Oct. 1902, at 5:30 o'clock P.M, and duly recorded in the Office of Register of Deeds of Guilford Co., N. C., in Book No. 144 Page 321 &c.

This Deed, Made this the 22nd day of March 1902 by E. Z. Hester and his wife [blank] of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, party of the first part, to E. A. Bencini of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, party of the second part,

Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part in consideration of [$85], Eighty Five Dollars to him paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has have bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part and his heirs a tract or parcel of land in the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina, in High Point Township, adjoining the lands of Development Co and others, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake corner Park & Wise street along Wise Street Eastward (150 ft) one hundred and fifty feet to a stake, thence southward (50 ft) fifty feet to a stake, thence westwardly (150 ft) one hundred and fifty feet to a stake on Park Street, thence northward with Park Street (50 ft) fifty to beginning being lot no. 9 Section 14 High Point Development Cos. lot Book # 53 Page 561 in Register of Deeds Office.

The above land was conveyed to grantor by B. X. Linville & wife See Book No. 136 page 627, &c.

To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever.

And the said party of the first part does covenant that he is seized of said premises in fee and has the right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free from incumbrances; and that he will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever.

In testimony whereof the said party of the first part does hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written.

STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA--GUILFORD COUNTY.

I, [erased: John W. Welborn No] of said County, do hereby certify that [blank] and [blank] his wife, grantors, personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the execution of the foregoing deed of conveyance, and the said [blank] being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. Let the said deed and this certificate be registered.
