DEED FROM Ed Clodfelter and wife TO Henry D. Perry

Consideration $10.00 Date Aug 8th 1924

Filed for registration on the 13 day of Aug 1924, at 3 o'clock PM., and duly recorded in the office of Register of Deeds of Guilford County, N. C. in Book No. 455 Page 454 etc. R. H. Wharton Register of Deeds.

This Deed Made this the 8th day of August 1924 by Ed Clodfelter and his wife [blank] of Guilford county and State of North Carolina, parties of the first part, to Henry D. Perry of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, party of the second part:

Witnesseth, That the said parties of the first part, in consideration of ($10.00) Ten Dollars and other good and valuable considerations to them paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part and his heirs a tract or parcel of land in the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina, in High Point Township, adjoining the lands of [blank] and others, and bounded as follows: Being known, numbered and designated as Lots Nos. 2 & 3 in Block No. 1 as shown on the plat of "FIVE POINTS" sub-division of the High Point Ins. & Real Estate Company's lands which said plat is duly registered in the office of the Register of Deeds for Guilford County N. C. in Plat Book No. 5 Page 252 to which registered plat reference is hereby made Lot No.2 - 25 feet front 113-feet on East Line and 25-feet in rear 110-feet on West Line. No. No 3 25-feet front, 110-feet on East Line 25-feet in rear and 107-feet on West Line.

The above land was conveyed to grantor by High Point Ins. & Real Estate Co. See Book No. [Blank], Page [blank], etc.

To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever.

And the said parties of the first part do covenant that they are seized of said premises in fee and have the right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free from incumbrances; and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever.

In Testimony Whereof, the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA--Guilford County.

I, Ed L. Ragan, Notary Public of said County, do hereby certify that Ed Clodfelter and his wife Mary Clodfelter grantors, personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the execution of the foregoing deed of conveyance, and the said Mary Clodfelter being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. Let the said deed and this certificate be registered.

Witness my hand and official seal this the 9th day of August 1924.
