On the evening of Oct.
1935, the first regular meeting
of the Elm Street Parent - Teacher
Association for 1935 - 36 school
year was held in the
auditorium of Elm Street School.

The meeting was in the
form of an informal reception
for the teachers and parents
especially the new parents
and teachers.

After passing down a receiving
line made up of present
and past officers of the organiza-
tion and a few out standing
citizens of High Point, delightful
refreshments were served
from beautifully appointed tables
by several Elm Street School parents.
