Mrs. Ingram gave a brief sketch of the programs of the year. Mrs. Gurney Briggs then rendered a most enjoyable vocal number. Following this, Mrs. Dan R. Schroder was asked to introduce the guests of the evening—Mrs. N. L. Walker of Raleigh, the North-Central District President; Mrs. D. S. Coletrane, of Greensboro, North Western District President, who brought "Greetings from these districts to the association. Mrs. Schroder next introduced the speaker of the evening, Mrs. W. B. Aycock, President of North Carolina Congress of Parents and Teachers.

The meeting was then declared adjourned with an invitation to the parents and friends to visit the class rooms.

The December meeting of the Elm Street Parent-Teacher's Association was held on Dec. 17, 1935 at the Elm Street School.

Business being dispensed of, the meeting was turned over to the Program chairman. A Christmas Pageant, "O Come All Ye Faithful" was presented by the third, fourth, and fifth grades of the school.

A vested choir of seventy voices, shepherds, wisemen, and children of thirty-seven nations in costume approached the elevated nativity scene of the Christmas story, under varying colored spot lights, to express thanks and joy at the birth of the Christ Child.

Appreciation was expressed to the parents of Elm Street School

who helped add to the loveliness of the program by the making of vestments and colorful, rich costumes and to the teachers and children of the school for their untiring work.

The Elm Street Parent Teacher Association held its regular meeting Tuesday evening, March 10, 1936 in the school auditorium.

Due to the absence of the President, Mrs. H. I. Coffield, Mrs. R. H. Sechrest, Vice-President, called the meeting to order.

Mrs. F. L. Conrad, a patron of the school gave the devotional.

Following the reading of the minutes, the Sec. read notes of appreciation to the Association from the family of Mrs. E. T. Harmon the mother of Mrs. Coffield, the Association's Pres., and Miss Mary Clegg, one of the Elm Street Faculty, for sympathy and flowers sent during recent bereavements.

Reports were then given by officers and committees.
