DEED FROM J. D. Horney and M. L. Horney TO J. W. Johnson

Filed for registration on the 9 day of February 1911, at 9:10 o'clock A.M., and duly recorded in the office of Register of Deeds of Guilford Co., N. C., in Book No. 226 Page 389 Etc. W. H. Rankin Regiser of Deeds.

This Deed, Made this the 3 day of May 1907 by J. D. Horney and his wife M. L. Horney of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, parties of the first part, to John W. Johnson of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, party of the second part:

WITNESSETH, That the said parties of the first part, in consideration of ($150.00) One Hundred and Fifty Dollars to them paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has have bargained and sold, and by these presents doth bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part and his heirs a tract or parcel of land in the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina, in High Point Township, adjoining the lands of [blank] and others, and bounded as follows:

Being Lots No. 3 and 10 in Block B in N. E. Welborn Plat Same being duly recorded in office of Regester of Deeds of Guilford County.

These Lots are each ,50, feet by ,150, feet.

The above land was conveyed to grantor by J. N. Campbell See Book No. [blank], Page [blank], Etc

To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever.

And the said parties of the first part doth covenant that there is are seized of said premises in fee and have the right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free from incumbrances; and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever.

In testimony whereof, the said parties of the first part hath hereunto set thare hands and seals the day and year first above written.

STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA—Guilford County.

I, J L Parrish, a Notary Public, of said County, do hereby certify that J D Horney and his wife M L Horney grantors, personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the execution of the foregoing deed of conveyance, and the said M. L. Horney being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. Let the said deed and this certificate be registered.
