NORTH CAROLINA, GUILFORD COUNTY.

THIS DEED OF QUITCLAIM, Made this the 1st day of February, 1928, by L .J. MOORE and wife, Rosa M. MOORE, of Guilford County, North Carolina, parties of the first part, to A. H. IDOL, of Guilford County, North Carolina, party of the second part,

WITNESSETH:

That the party of the second part, by instrument of writing dated October 10th, 1927, and recorded in Book 571, at Page 173, in the office of the Register of Deeds of Guilford County, acknowledged receipt of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) as payment upon the purchase price of the lands hereinafter described; and,

That the question has been raised as to whether the said instrument was an option expiring in fifteen (15) days from date thereof, or a contract to convey the land; and,

That it was the intention of the parties that the same be construed as an option, and expire in fiften (15) days, which time has long since expired; and,

That the parties of the first part make no claim whatsoever to the said land, and are desirous of removing the cloud, if any, from the title of the said property.

Now, Therefore, in consideration of the premises and $1.00 in hand paid to the parties of the first part by the party of the second part, receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said parties of the first part have bargained, sold and forever quitclaimed, and do hereby forever bargain, sell and quitclaim unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns,

forever, all of the right, title, interest, claim and demand of the said parties of the first part in and to a certain tract or parcel of land in the County of Guilford, State of North Carolina, in High Point Township, adjoining the lands of N. E. Welborn and others, and bounded as follows:

"BEGINNING at a stake in the Northeast corner on old Plank Road; thence in a Western direction with new street, 150 ft. to a stake in N. E. Welborn's line; thence in a Southern direction 50 ft. to a stake; thence on old Plank Road; thence with Old Road, 50 ft. to the beginning, containing 7500 sq. ft., more or less."

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same, together with all the privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, forever.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year first above written.

NORTH CAROLINA, GUILFORD COUNTY.

I, Owen Reese, a Notary Public of said County, do hereby certify that L .J. MOORE and wife, Rosa M. MOORE, grantors, personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the execution of the foregoing deed of quitclaim; and said Rosa M. MOORE, being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or complusion of her said husband or of any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. Let the said instrument and this certificate be registered.

WITNESS my hand and notarial seal, this the 2 day of February, 1928.
