Newport, Tenn. May 5, 1926.

Mr. Luther Caughron, family and all.

Dear Bros. & Sisters:

In reply to your good letter of May 3, just received. Hope you are all well or especially that Sister is better. Tell her not to worry, only trust in the Lord, things will come out O.K. if the Lord is in the arrangement and we firmly believe He is. Please remember what I said in last letter, stand firm, fear God, keep his commandments; He is our leader.

Now, in regard to what I wrote. You know where I stand, I am not this today and something else tomorrow. I am trying hard for peace and to stand firm for Old Baptist doctrine; and that you might know exactly what is in that letter, I am sending you an exact copy of it and the last one also. You may do with it as you like, there is nothing in either of them that I care to keep secret. I only ask the mantal of charity in the behalf of mistakes and imperfections of them and the writer.

Your unworthy Brother in hope of a better home beyond the reach of satins range and the malace of mad men.

Walter C. McMillon.
