Dearest Pete I received your letter this week and sure was glad to know that you are alright. We are all suffering with colds here. Can't seem to get rid of them. Harry really has a bad one and a cough too. The weather has been so changeable that most everyone you see have colds. I took your watch to have it fixed but they said it would cost at least seven dollars or more, so I just put it away with your things. Later, it can be fixed much cheaper things are high now and it takes two or three months to get them. You didn't say any thing in your letter what I asked about the candy. If I made some chocolate fudge and sent you, do you think it would be O.K. when you got it? Let me know (over)

2 Harry is going some where this afternoon to get a bunch of fishing poles. He and Smith just can't wait for fishing season to come. He really likes sitting on a river bank whether he catches any thing or not. I bought Judy some riding pants and she sure looks cute in them. She should have been a boy any way, she sure is a tom-boy. I am glad that you run into some of your old buddies there. I know you were glad to see them. I haven't any idea where you are except that you are in the Pacific. I sure will be glad when you are back in the States to stay. We all are looking forward to that. We haven't had any snow here this winter to amount to any thing. Just two or three small ones and I think it is just too cold to snow here now. Our fish pond in the back

3 yard is frozen over solid. And I went out in the yard this morning and I'll tell you that air sure went thru me. Well, Pete, I really never have much news but I thought you might like to hear from us any way, so I will drop a few lines every few days. Henry and Lib haven't been over since Xmas but they are fine, so are Velma and Snookie. I had a letter from Faison and Mary not long ago, he said the Spears family were fine. Well, I must close for this time. Write when you can as I look forward to hearing from you. All sends love and best wishes. Judy sends bushels of love and kissesLove Always Your Sis Eva Moorefield
