brighter world I have all ways said I wish I was as good as
your mother she all ways looked on the bright side and
could have a good time where ever she went I am sorry
I didn't get to go to her grave but mabe some time I can
go when the meeting won't be as it had to be this time
and you all take care of your selfs and come down to see me
this summer I will let you know when the [garden?] are in full
swing, the paper talks like today we won't have much to eat later on
especialy meat [?] lard, lard and rice. Just so I get enough meat to
cook with that will do me but I do want enough [?], I will have
to put a bug in JP ear. Well I don't know nothing else to write
when you hear from the war department let me hear about it. I hope you have
found my candy I put it in the wardrobe and never thought about it
any more, so you and Judy have a good time with it
and write me some times [?] and [?]
love and lots of love to you and your family.
