The High Point Development Co. TO J. J. Welch

Deed - Consideration, $80 Dated 14 day of July, 1891 Filed for registration on the 8 day of March, 1892, at 10:30 o'clock A. M., and registered in the office of the Register of Deeds for Guilford County, N. C., this [blank] day of [blank] 189[blank] at [blank] o'clock [blank] M., in Book 87 of Deeds, on page 289, &c. A. G. STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA - [blank] County I, [blank], Clerk of the [blank] Court, hereby certify that [blank] and [blank] his wife, appeared before me this day and acknowledged the due execution of the annexed deed of conveyance; and the said [blank] being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband, or any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA, Guilford County. THIS DEED, Made this 14 day of July, 1891, by The High Point Development Co. of Guilford County, and State of N. C. of the first part, to J. J. Welch of Guilford County, and State of N. C. of the second part. Witnesseth: That said The High Point Development Co. in consideration of Eighty Dollars, to it paid by J. J. Welch the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained and sold, and by these presents doth bargain, sell and convey to said J. J. Welch heirs, a certain tract or parcel of land in Guilford County, State of N. C. Being Lots no. 3 and 4 in Section 5 and Lots no. 9 and 10 in Section 22 of the registered plat of The High Point Development Company's property registered in Register of Deeds Office page 561 Book 53.

To Have and to Hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said J. J. Welch his heirs and assigns, to their only use and behoof forever. And the said The High Point Development Co. covenants with said J. J. Welch his heirs and assigns, that it is seized of said premises in fee, and hath right to convey the same in fee-simple; that the same are free and clear from all incumbrances, and that it will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whomsoever. In Testimony Whereof, The said The High Point Development Co. has caused these presents to be signed by its President, attested by its secretary, and its corporate seal attached, the day and year above written.
