THIS DEED, made this 25th day of July, A.D. 1895, by Lewen
W. Harris & Margret A. Harris
of Guilford County
and State of North Carolina, of the first part, and J. W. Harris
of Guilford County, and State of North Carolina, of the second part,

WITNESSETH: That said Lewen W. Harris & Margret A. Harris
in consideration of Eleven Hundred Dollars
to them paid by J. W. Harris, the receipt of which
is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain, sell and
convey to said J. W. Harris and his heirs, and
assigns a certain tract or parcel of land in High Point township
Guilford County, State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of
C. B. Hayworth, S. Perry & J. T. Hoffman
and others, bounded as follows, viz:

Beginning at a stake on Plank Road Hoffman corner
running with Plank Road North (257) Two hundred
and fifty seven feet to a stake C. B. Hayworth corner
Thence in a westerly direction (462) four hundred and
sixty two feet to the center of Willowbrook Street
Thence in a southerly direction along center of Willowbrook
Street (284) Two hundred and Eighty four feet to a stake
in S. Perry's line. Easterly with Perry's line (204) two hundred and four feet
to a stake corner of Hoffman lot. Thence northerly with
Hoffman's line (120) One hundred and twenty feet to a
stake Hoffman's corner. Thence Easterly (240) Two hundred
and forty feet to the beginning containing Three acres more or
less. This property was conveyed by the will of R. W. Harris
[?] to Lewen W. Harris subject to the life estate of Margret A.
Harris who joins in this deed to convey her life interest.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all
privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging, to the said J. W. Harris,
his heirs and assigns, to his only
use and behoof forever.

AND THE SAID Lewen W. Harris & Margret A. Harris
covenants that they are seized of said premises in fee, and have the right to convey the
same in fee simple; that the same are free and clear from all incumbrances, and that they
[handwritten: Margret A. Harris conveys her life estate]
will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the said Lewen W. Harris and
Margret A. Harris have hereunto set their hands and seals the
day and year above written.
