Letter from Nano Nagle to Teresa Mulally indicating that, at the behest of Dr. Moylan, she had taken in three women to assist in her education ministry the previous Christmas. She reveals that two of the women will establish a foundation in County Kerry and encloses a copy of their rule, "its called the sisters of the charitable instruction of the sacred heart of Jesus...I could wish that we may unite in this society, and am confident the great God will direct you to what is most for his glory".

Dear Madam this is a pleasure I have longed for this sometime past for, which was to acquaint you that what Doctor Moylan mention’d to you about two years ago, that I had a desire some establishment shou’d be made to keep up the schools, for the poor children not finding any person here, inclin’d to undertake such an affear, mead me at last consent, to the Doctors request and last Xmas I took in three persons to join me in this good work, what made me defer all this time, was finding myself so improper a person to undertake it, the Almighty makes use of the weak’s mains to bring a bout his works, I am to sent two out of the small number we have, to Doctor Moylan, as he is very impatient to have them, and in my opinion they are very proper to make a foundation in kerry, as the have great zeal and talents and every virtue proper for it.
