Altoona May 15th 1878
Dear Sister
We are now in Altoona
among the beautiful mountains.
I wish you could enjoy the pleasure
of seeing this old country.
Yesterday Bishop Tnigg [spelling?] gave
Confirmation here. The condition
is [illegible] just as it was in [illegible]
I [felt?] he gave us one year to
stay. He is a terrible enemy to us
it seems.
You forgot to send Dr. Schulz [spelling?]
[a?] note. I do not need it either.
Write to Menominee and tell Fr.
Menard that the Sisters cannot come
perhaps he could get some other
nice choir to do the singing
write a nice polite letter and
tell him to excuse us that Sister
Antonia has been ill and is
