Monday Noon.
Dear Kids _
Just finished eating dinner. Baked chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, buttered carrots, endive salad, noodle soup and chocolate cake. Not bad for army mess.
Wished you could have been with us yesterday. Went to lookout mountaint + Rock City Gardens. It was really beautiful.
Have the boys got the whooping cough? Take good care of them.

This time of year it won't be so bad on them.
I am acting Sgt. now + I don't have time for anything I haven't heard for sure about my O.C.S. Those things take time.
I have some raisins I am going to send you just as soon as I get a box. I can buy them at the commissary.
