the big flouring mill and then back to sister Lackets and from then to 2800 Franklin ave and then to meeting at 7:30 P.M. and then to our room at 10:30 P.M.

April 8th stayed at our room in the forenoon Elders W. H. Wilson and O. L. Barrus went and got a permit to speak on the streets from Mayor Stephens out tracting in the afternoon.

April 9th stayed at our room in the fore noon and studied our books. In the afternoon was out tracting.

April 10th stayed at room all day and washed my socks.

Aprail 11th stayed at in the forenoon and wrote a letter to Sister Amanda Wixom walked out in the afternoon.

April 12th I got a letter from my wife and two little girls and answered them in the afternoon and sent the Eras to Charles.

April 13th was Saturday and it rained and we read the Deseret News.

April 14 was Sunday went to Sunday School at 10:30 A.M. and from there to 2800 Franklin avv Mo for dinner and

and then to meeting at 7:30 P.M. Elders O. L. Barrus and Dalrymple and Waite was the speakers and then back to East St. Louis at 10/40.

April 15 out tracting in the forenoon for one half hour. Tracting for one and [a half] in the after noon.

April 16 Raining all day and we stayed at our room and read the News and studied our books.

April 17th it was rainy and we stayed at our room and studied our books all day.

April 18th studied books all day.

April 19th got a letter from my son Alvin Despain and one from wife and daughter Edna and answered all three and went to the post office and posted them and got 49 cts worth of stamps. At 7:30 P.M. went to Salvation Army meeting and back to room at 9:30 P.M.

April 20th was Saturday Elder W. H. Wilson and my self took a walk out of town to look for a place to do some Baptism.

April 21st went to Sunday School at [1/30] A.M. and to the restenewt for dinner. Up to 2800 Franklin Auv and to Meeting

at 7/30 P.M. and then back to 604 Collinsville Ave at ten 30 P.M. to our room.

April 22th it was very stormy and we stayed at our room all day. I got a letter from Wife and Daughter Edna and answered it and sent some tracts an a flowe Boot home.

April 23rd Stayed at our room in the forenoon and out tracting in the afternoon.

April 24th Stayed at home in the forenoon the afternoon walked down thge street and bought a shirt for Elder Baird. And Sister Perkins and two daughters came and took supper with us and we all went to meeting together out at Alexander Allens at 8 oclock P.M. Elders Baird and Wislon and Barrus was the speakers and then back to my room While Elders Wilson and Baird and Barrus went home with the Sisters

April 25th stayed at the room in the forenoon studiued my books in the afternoon at 8 P.M. we held meeting on the street

April 26 went out to Sister Millers to see what time that the funeral would be

and then went back to our room and had dinner and then back to Sister Millers and held the funeral at three oclock p.m. Elder W. H. Wilson being the speaker and then back to our room and then held a meeting on the street a 8 p.m. and back to our room

April 27th was Saturday and I went on a walk out of the city to gether some flowers and could not find any only some voilets and some yellow flowers that looked like [ware?] in the evening us 4 Elders went to one Mr. Bills and administered to him.

April 28th was Sunday and Elders W. H. Wilson P M Baird and myself went to Sunday school at 10/30 am and then to the resturant for dinner and from there to 2800 till meeting time at 7/30 p.m. Elder Richie and W. H. Wilson was the speakers and then back to our room in company with Mr Alexander Allen and wife and Mrs Jackson part of the way and when I got to the room there was two letters waiting for me one from my wife and one from Neils Thompson on

April 29th I answered the letter to my wife and family and went and took dinner at Mr Alexander Allens and then back to our room untill about 7 oclock p.m. Elder W. H. Wilson and myself went back to Mr Allens and administered to Mrs Allen and had a long talk with the old folks and then back to our room and to bed

April 30th I got a letter from Alvin Despain my son. Stayed at room all day.

May 1st answered Alvins letter in the fore noon. Out tracting in the afternoon.

May 2nd studied my books and took a walk throu the city.

May 3 stayed at room in the forenoon. Made a visit to our friend Allens in the afternoon and took supper in the evening.

May 4 was Saturday and I washed my hankerchiefs and socks in the forenoon. In the afternoon Elder W. H. Wilson my companion and I went to cousins Marcellus J Reynolds and stayed all night with his family in St Louis Mo.
