Dear sir,
I urgently request that your office investigate the reported seizure and jailing of twojuveniles in Sylvester, Georgia.
Newspaper reports reveal that the two were involved in arguments with fellow students and were held incommunicado without their parents' knowledge. Surely, even juveniles in Georgia, accused of whatever crime, have rights that the state is duty bound to protect.
I am enclosing a copy of the report which drew my attention to this case first for your information.
Sincerely, [signature of Julian Bond] Julian Bond
