Dear Dr. Henderson,

You will probably be receiving a letter from Rep. J. C. Daugherty mentioning some matters which black members of the Legislature hope the Center For The Study of Southern Politics can aid them in. Since we are such a small minority of all of the Legislature, it would be a great help if we knew exactly where in this state actual and potential black political power existed.

Additionally, it would be helpful for the 1970 state elections if we had an ADA type rating for white legislators from black belt areas of the state.

At any rate, I just wanted to add my small voice to Rep. Daugherty's.
