Dear Parents,
Representative Julian Bond has been very kind to let us use his stationery to tell residents of his District more about the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community School (see attached brochure).
After a year's operation we are very pleased to announce plans for another summer and fall session of the school. W We are moving to a larger, more adequate location (94 Griffin St., NW) and will be able to accomodate up to 46 children. The building is now being renovated and is to be finished in middle July. Meanwhile our summer session (June 22-July 31) will be held at Flipper Temple AME Church on Fair St.
If you are interested in enrolling your child or children for summer and/or fall session, please write
Mrs. Barbara Huell c/o M. L. King Memorial Center 671 Beckwith St.
or call 691-6168 (home) or 524-1956 (office).
There is no rigid tuition fee. However, each parent is requested to make contribution to the school fund based on his own knowledge of his income and responsibilities.
Please let us hear from you by June 15.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Barbara Huell, Director
