Dear Rev. Thomas,

As I mentioned at the Y meeting on Monday night, my brother and I are candidates for delegate and alternate spots to the Democratic National Convention.

The convention to choose delegates from the Fifth Congressional District will be held on March 11 at O'Keefe High School, 151 6th Street, NW, at 10:30 a.m.

Anyone who lives in the Fifth District, who is 18 years old or over, and who will pledge loyalty to the Democratic nominee can come to O'Keefe to vote.

We would like to ask not just for your suppoet, but also for the support of anyone you come in contact with. Since anyone over 18 can come, the victory will go to the candidates who can encourage the largest turnout on the 11th.

We will be sending you more information later. Can you send me the names of any others who may be interested?

Best wishes, and keep on winning those citations.

Sincerely,

Julian Bond
