Dear Mr. Crouch:

Thank you for your letter of September 10 inviting me to speak to the University Young Democrats. My schedule for the fall and early winter is quite full at this point.

I may be able to schedule a visit some time between January and April but I am unable to commit myself at this time due to the fact that the legislature is in session during that time. Perhaps you would be able to be in touch with me later about a spring date.
