Dear Bill,

Because of the lack of funds in the southern states it is obvious that we in the south will have to raise most of our own money.

To attract people and restore the energy lost I am organizing a series of rock/soul/country/ music concerts in the south. At present we are contacting various groups int the country to donate their services.

It is vital to this operation that we find promoters who are willing to promote a concert for McGovern. This is the area at present where you can be of the most help.

It is essential that we find out just who these local promoters are. Establish contact with these people and find out who will promote a show, which groups are strong where, and the halls available.

Keep in mind that each type of show (rock/soul/country) requires a different kind of promo and therefore a different promoter. It is necessary that you distinguish between them.
