The bishop of Bamberg issued this Schutzbrief, or "safe conduct document," on 29 July 1802 allowing a German Jew, Aaron Meier, and his family to travel to Lichtenfels.

The Countess of Hohenlohe's Recipe Book
This German manuscript cookbook is dated 1593 and contains 243 recipes for a variety of dishes. Many of the recipes contain rare and unusual ingredients--a marker of the status of the Hohenlohe family.
