An agreement or Bargin made this 19th day of February in the Year one Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty, by and Between Colonel Evan Shelby of the One Party and Peirce Wall Distiller Of the Other Witnesseth that the said Colonel Evan Shelby is to Provide Rye meal and malt at his Distillery logs for Fuel and Candles and to find the said Peirce Wall in Diet and Washing And to allow the said Peirce Wall the Fifth part of all the Whiskey He the said Peirce Wall makes which is to be Divided weekly The said Peirce Wall for his Part does hereby Engage to Cut his Firewood make malt and two Gallons of Whiskey of Every Bushel Of Rye Distilled by Him or more if the Rye will produce it of in Witness to the above both Parties have Interchangably set their hands and Seals the day and Date above Written Witness Present Peirce Wall Isaac Baker Evan Shelby
