I read the Womans Journal with
increasing interest & am often shocked
at their attitude.

I hope I may at some time have
opportunity to talk with you on some of the
points that trouble me. i.e. If the 800,000
women would all wish to vote, how soon
the white slave traffic would be
eliminated & most of the other immoralities
that afflict humanity. Perhaps I
have said all this to you before.

Mrs. [Davies] reached us yesterday
from Louisville & I am simply shocked
at the attitude of the politicians in that
city

I hope the women of Louisville will leave
nothing undone to promote the highest
good of the people.
