1931. Went to school at twelve thirty o'clock and took the arithmetic exam. Studied for Geometry final tonight.

1932. Went to school today, and came home this afternoon. Mrs. Ligon died this morning about five - thirty o'clock.

1933. I went to see Acie a little while this afternoon. I have been disappointed because Rex didn't come today.

1934. I got breakfast + helped clean up the house this morning. All of us stayed at home all day. Rex and I played Rummy & I read some.

1935. We killed hogs today. Kate helped me get dinner. Mr. Merrill, Mr. Kirkwood, Cousin Herb, Earl, William Ross, Albert and Jim ate dinner with us. Kate ate dinner also. I cut up some meat for the lard this afternoon.

1931. Went to school at ten o'clock & took the Geometry exam. Uncle Brock came after me & we came home. Mr Hartman came over tonight.

1932. Stayed at home this morning Miss. Nannie & myself went to Mrs. Johnson's this afternoon & spent the night with her.

1933. Mr. & Mrs. Gene Melton, Bonnie & Robert & Ritta Gene spent the day with us. Rex came this afternoon. John Marion Slaton came a little while also.

1934. I got dinner and cleaned up the house. I wrote a letter to mother, washed my head and patched a pair of overalls. Rex & I played Rummy tonight.

1935. I got dinner, supper, cut up some meat for the lard today. I washed some jars to put the lard in also. William Lynch Parrish is getting along as well as could be expected.
