January 1st
1936 Wed.
The sun has been shining
part of the day & the snow
has partly melted away. It
rained a little this afternoon.
Kate washed. I got breakfast &
Sis got dinner. Lawrence ate
dinner with us. I sewed some
today. Sis & I went to Edna's
this afternoon to a House Warming
Party. Mary, Stella, Edna Belle,
Modest, Calie, Mrs. Jones, Nora Lee
& Amelia were there also. Edna
recieved a good many
presents.
January 2nd
1936 Thu.
It has been cloudy today
and has rained a little
and has melted nearly all
the snow away. I got
dinner & ironed some today.
Sis ironed a few pieces
after she came home from
school. Jim, John Marion &
Basil came a little while today.
