Daily Diary
January 3rd Fri
The sun has been
shining most of the day and
has been warmer. I finished
ironing and mended the
clothes, got dinner and
moped [mopped] Mr. Slaton & Dock's
room, kitchen & back porch.

January 4th
1936 Sat
It has been cloudy today
& has rained a little & is
cooler. I got breakfast &
Sis got dinner. I washed
a few pieces helped clean
up the house & took the hem
out of one of my dresses. Sis &
Dock went to town this
afternoon. Jim came a little
while this morning. I got a letter from
mother. I wrote a letter to Elizabeth
& Laura today.

1936 Sun.
It has been cloudy part
of the day but the sun
has been shining most
of the day & is some colder.
Rex & I went to church at
Liberty this morning. Earl ate
dinner with us. Joseph came
this afternoon. Rex & I played
checkers tonight. Sis & Uncle
Alonzo went to quarterly
meeting at Hanson
today.

January 6th
1936 Mon.
It has been damp &
cloudy today and rained
some early this morning.
Kate washed. I wrote a
letter to mother & have done
the regular house work. Mrs.
Earl Sisk came a little
while this morning.
