[Left Page] [Saturday, March 1, 1941] We went to town today and I went to see Dr. Finley. He said my blood pressure was some too high but I am getting along fairly well. I went to Jessie's. She is feeling pretty bad. She has a real bad cold. Lawrence is in the bed. Mr Ruby Laffoon died this morning.

[Right Page] [Sunday, March 2, 1941] Rex & I went to John Albert Whitfield's this afternoon. John Albert & John Marion came a little while tonight.

[Left Page] [Monday, March 3, 1941] The wind has blown hard all day & it rained late this afternoon. I had bad luck with my washing today. The clothe line blew down & I had a good many pieces to wash over. Rex helped my wash. Rex went to town this afternoon & I stayed with aunt Pattie & Uncle alonzo. I stopped at Mrs. Daughtery's also She wasn't at home. She had gone to Evansville.

[Right Page] [Tuesday, March 4, 1941] The men have been fixing our telephone line today. They didn't get it to work very satisfact-ory. Mr. Bill Eldridge, Roy Slaton, John Marion and Uncle alonzo helped fix the line and ate dinner with us. Heard that Mr. Lee Schmetzer[?] is dead. John Whitfield came a while tonight. Had 2 telephone calls. Sis called & so did Roy Slaton.

[Left page con.] Ivory[?] her granddaughter & one son went there.

[Left Page] [Wednesday, March 5, 1941] I ironed today and mended the clothes. Andrew came this afternoon.

[Right Page] [Thursday, March 6, 1941] I have done the general house work this morning. Rex went to town this afternoon & I went to see Sis.

[Left Page] [Friday, March 7, 1941] I fixed the lace on a center piece and embroidered some, dyed a blouse, cleaned out the stove and have done the general house work. Heard that Mr. Lee Schmetzer isn't dead so I don't know whether he is dead or not. Jessie called this afternoon. no, Mr. Schmetzer isn't dead he has been seriously ill but better now.

[Right Page] [Saturday, March 8, 1941] Rex & Jay hung most of the Meat this morning. We went to town this afternoon and I went to Jessie's. Lawrence is better but Jessie still feels awful bad. I got a new whit blouse.

[Left Page] [Sunday, March 9, 1941] Rex & I went to church at Browders this morning. Rev. Hartford preached. We didn't stay for Sunday School. John Whitfield came this afternoon. I listened to the Radio this afternoon and tonight.

[Right Page] [Monday, March 10, 1941] I washed this morning. Rex went to Evansville today. He sold some cattle and hogs. It has rained today. I finished embroidering a center piece this afternoon. John Whitfield came a little while this afternoon.
