January 4, 1944.
Tuesday

It has been damp
and cloudy today. Mother
is about the same but
Robert seems a little better
at least he hasn't been
as much trouble to me.
I don't feel any better. I
have canned 1 gallon of
Ribs and have done the
general house work.
I read a real interesting story
tonight.

January 5, 1944.
Wednesday

It rained
this morning and is turning colder.
Robert
is better and I reckon
Mother is a little better. My
cold is a little better. I
have done the general house
work + read some. Rex went
to town today to see about
his tobacco. It
brought a real
good price.

January 6, 1944.
Thursday

the sun has
been shining today. It is some
colder today but not as cold
as I thought it was turning
last night. Mother isn't
any better. Robert is better.
My cold is some better.
I washed a few pieces for
Robert + have done the general
house work and Read some. John
Marion came a little while
tonight.

Friday

It has been cloudy most
of the day. I washed a few
pieces for Mother have done
the general house work + Read
some. Marvin Wesley Slaton
was here for dinner. He is
helping Rex strip tobacco. I
don't think Mother is any better
but Robert + I are some better.

January 8, 1944.
Saturday

It snowed all
morning. It is pretty cold today.
I washed some and have done
the general house work. Rex
got a letter from Fern.
I read a little today.
Listened to the Radio tonight.
Mother is better my cold
is better and Robert is better
also.

January 9, 1944.
Sunday

The sun has been shining
today. The snow isn't melting
very fast as it is real cold.
Mr. William Rodgers came
this morning + ate dinner
with us. I wrote a letter to
Aunt Jannie. I read some.
Listened to the "Old Fashion
Revival Hour, tonight over
the Radio. Rev. Charles E
Fuller of California is
the Preacher.
