Friday January 24, 1947
I canned 2 canning's of meat today. 8 qts. of Ribs & tender loin and 8 qts. of Sausage. I made a cake for Rex birthday also. I still don't feel well & have a bad cold. Clarance went home this afternoon. I Read some tonight. Rex, Robert & I sacked 6 sacks of Sausage tonight. It is a lot warmer today.

Saturday, January 25th 1947
Rex, Robert & I wen't to town today. Robert & I ate down in town then Rex took Robert to Jessie's. I wen't to the Show. I got a Magazine & Read in the car a good while. I didn't feel so well so I had rather read than walk over town so much. My cold is a good deal better. I Read some tonight.
