Mother & I polished the silver-wear [ware] this Morning. I moped [mopped] and waxed our Bedroon Rug, the Back porch Rug and the kitchen Rug. I moped the Back Bed-Room also. It rained so Rex can't work this afternoon so Rex, Robert & I went to town this afternoon. Robert went to Jessie's. I went to the show. I got a new print dress for myself. Read some tonight & listened to the Radio.

Sunday, June 22, 1947
It rained this morning. I wanted to go to Church at Browders but Rex didn't want to go. Didn't any of us go anywhere except Rex took a horse-back ride and went to the Island. I read some today and took a nap this afternoon. Sunday sure is a long day when we stay at home all day. Wasn't anyone here all day except the Fredrick Children. I read a little tonight.
