Saturday, July 5, 1947
Mother and I cleaned up the house this Morning. I took a bath & gave Robert a bath. Rex took Robert & I to town this afternoon. He then came back home & worked. Robert & I walked to Jessie's. I stopped to see Jean & Mrs.Mc'Claren . I then went back down in town & went to the show. I ate supper down in town. I walked back to Jessie's & stopped in to see Jean a little while. Mother & Rex came to town tonight. Rex went down in town a while.

Sunday, July 6, 1947
Mr. Fredrick came this Morning & asked Rex to get a Doctor for Mrs. Fredrick. She is sick. Our telephone is out of shape so he had to go to town after a Doctor. Dr. Cowim[?] promised to come. Mary Jones came and asked me to go to Mrs. Fredrick's that Mrs. Jones thinks she is awful sick. I told her I reckon I could but that they had talked so bad to me I didn't want to go. Mother went and I stayed at home with Robert. Mother said she was pretty sick at first but soon got better. Lee & Callie came a little while this afternoon. I read some this afternoon and tonight.
